Be Not Deceived by Debie Misir

Be Not Deceived

The wisdom of the world is foolishness to God
All around is evil, a cleverly deceptive façade
Infiltrating hearts and minds, the devil clawed
Leading many from the narrow, unto the way broad

Hiding its ugliness in the glamour of the world
Sin spread like wildfire, demonic activities unfurled
Giants arose, legends in their own corrupted minds
Oh the helplessness of man, like a puppet the devil winds

Be not deceived, the ways of the wicked will perish
Arise out of the slumber of sin, the evil you cherish
Abandon quickly idols and idolatry, two most abhorrent sins
They bring immediate judgment, and curses to generations of kins

Hear ye of the saving grace of our precious Lord and Savior
Of the everlasting love of our heavenly Father, and His favor
Repent of your sins, turn away and accept the blood of the Lamb
Be washed clean, renewed in mind and spirit by the great I AM

There is no other name given under Heaven that can save
None that can free you from Satan, who made you his slave
Only Jesus holds the keys to hell, death, and the grave
Only He won the victory over sin, which to you He gave

Be alert to the lies of devil, they lead to damnation and hell
Seek true wisdom from God; it flows from a bottomless well
Know that there is no wisdom that can succeed against the Lord
For none has resisted Him and come out unscathed, says the Word

The wisdom of the Lord is profound and vast
He is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last
By His power He founded the earth, the world by His wisdom
By His understanding He stretched out the heavens, and all His kingdom

You He created from His spirit and the dust of the earth
It is through His grace and love that you were given birth
Only He holds the power to bestow life abundant, freedom, and joy
Only He can love and protect you, so no evil can destroy

There is no life, no hope, no love, no joy without Him
Only torture and darkness eternal, unbearable and grim
Invite Him to be your Lord, to the world be not conformed
Seek only the mind of Christ, and to be transformed
